prog-and-svc_hiv_testing_and_treatment Treinta años después del descubrimiento del virus del SIDA, el Programa Conjunto de las Naciones Unidas sobre el VIH/SIDA informa que hay 33.4 millones de personas en todo el mundo que viven con la enfermedad. De hecho, en los Estados Unidos, una persona se infecta con VIH cada nueve minutos y medio.

Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) colabora en la lucha contra la expansión del VIH/SIDA. NEVHC brinda atención a más de 700 pacientes actualmente y ofrece más de 2,000 análisis de VIH cada año. Cincuenta y cuatro por ciento de las personas que comienzan a recibir cuidados son diagnosticados con SIDA, una enfermedad de declaración obligatoria.

Recibir tratamiento y cuidados de salud tempranos es importante. Hemos diseñando nuestros servicios para ayudar a las personas a controlar su enfermedad por VIH con las menores preocupaciones posibles para ellos y sus seres queridos.

Todos los servicios se ofrecen en un ambiente confidencial y personal e incluyen:

  • Tratamiento ambulatorio para el VIH
  • Cuidados coordinados, que incluyen las últimas terapias de drogas, tratamientos y referencias a estudios clínicos 
  • Programa de Asistencia de medicamentos contra el SIDA (ADAP, por sus siglas en inglés) 
  • Servicios para personas transexuales 
  • Consejería y análisis nutricionales 
  • Cuidados dentales 
  • Acupuntura 
  • Terapia de masajes
  • Cuidados de salud mental, que incluyen: 
    • Consejería sobre salud mental 
    • Servicios sociales 
    • Psiquiatría 
  • Referencias y recursos comunitarios (a pedido) 
  • Asistencia para el transporte 
  • Consejería y análisis gratuitos de VIH

Todos los servicios se ofrecen en base a una escala de pagos para los clientes que cumplen con los requisitos financieros. Además, aceptamos los seguros de Medi-Cal, Medicare y la mayoría de los seguros privados. Nuestros servicios cuentan con el apoyo de subsidios y contratos del programa Ryan White para la lucha contra el VIH/SIDA.
