Responsibilities:
Performs clerical duties for the WIC administrative offices, including activities that relate directly to the WIC clinic education activities. Assists the secretary with organizing and distributing the monthly education classes to the clinics, under the direction of the Director of Nutrition Education and Training. Assists with filing. Assists the clinic supervisors with client surveys, as needed. Assists with the inventory of the nutrition education materials. Assists with the WIC newsletter. Responsible for the lamination machine and copy machine. Laminates all materials as assigned. Assists with the answering of phones in the Nutrition education Department and the Information and Referral unit. Assists with staff training, as needed. Distributes WIC outreach materials to local providers and health care agencies. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team. Any other duties as may be requested by the project Director, Assistant Director or Director of Nutrition Education and Training.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent clerical skills.
Experience with word processing.
Good organizational skills.
Knowledge of paste-up and lay-out desirable.
Knowledge of the ISIS computer system preferred.
Some artistic ability highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Some lifting of boxes, not over twenty pounds. Bending, Stooping, carrying of large and small items, not to exceed twenty pounds. Organizing materials on shelves. May require some twisting or turning, moving small equipment, tables or chairs.
