Job Description: Warehouse Clerk I/II
Definition:
As a member of the WIC office staff, this position is responsible for maintaining and organizing the warehouse with regards to WIC inventory and materials. Also, provides maintenance service to WIC clinic sites and backup support for couriers. Acts as lead person for all warehouse projects and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities:
Receives shipments, checks in orders against packing slips; stores materials in designated areas of the warehouse. Coordinates the work schedule of all warehouse activities and warehouse personnel nel to facilitate all deliveries, storage, and maintenance of inventories. Prioritizes, schedules and completes work orders for WIC clinics and or Corporate offices for the courier; backs up courier if there is a high demand for deliveries. Contacts supervisor, and any other affected staff, if unable to complete work order by due date and reschedules incomplete work order. As per instructions from supervisor, performs maintenance and repairs per order from various clinics. Takes all supplies and tools needed to accomplish work orders. Notifies supervisor and WIC director before doing non-routine requests. Maintains file on all completed work orders. Maintains a tentative daily schedule. Informs supervisor of any changes to the schedule. Keeps work area and warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion at all times. Responsible for stocking, organizing and shelving all warehoused items. Responsible for moving and setting up new clinic sites as scheduled. Responsible for loading and unloading all necessary clinic items to WIC van. Responsible for wearing appropriate safety gear. Responsible for care of WIC van. Responsible for maintaining a professional manner. Assists in other assignments as necessary. Responsible for receiving all deliveries to warehouse. Pulls packing lists and unpacks items delivered. Notifies the department that their order is in. Assists with maintaining computerized inventory of all warehoused materials. Assists purchasing clerk with WIC bids, purchases, P.O., calls vendors as needed. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.

Qualifications:
Basic computer knowledge desirable.
Basic record keeping and clerical skills.
Knowledge of Spanish and English desired.
Able to handle electrical tools and do handyman work.
Physical job, must be able to move and lift with no problems.
