Children’s health needs are much different than adults’. Children grow quickly, and if health problems are not treated, they can affect a child's development. Keeping kids healthy is one of the biggest jobs of being a parent, but it is important to remember that you are not alone.
Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) is here to help, and to provide children with the foundation for a lifetime of good health. We offer health services to children and young adults from birth to age 21, so that they can head into adulthood on the right foot.
All services are provided in a confidential and personal setting and include:
Well Child Exams
A well-child exam is a physical and medical assessment of a child. These exams are scheduled at regular intervals during the first two years of life, and then annually after the age of two. Many things can occur during a well-child exam, including:
Pediatric Care
NEVHC offers age appropriate primary and preventive health services to children and young adults from birth up to the age 21. For continuity of care, after the age of 21 years old, a young adult can be linked to one of the adult providers in our Family Medicine department.
Same Day Sick Child Visits
We offer same day services for sick children.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program
Our WIC program provides pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children (less than 5 years of age) with monthly food vouchers. Nutrition education, counseling, breastfeeding support and referrals to other programs are among the services provided. For more information, click here.
